Im considering getting new wheels for my max already..

But im curious- whats the weight of the stock 17 02-03 Max wheels?

Wheels Im looking at btw are Racing Hart c3's =) 18 or 19 inch..=)

IIRC, the rims alone weight 26lbs. each.

Yes, there have been multiple posts of people weighing in at 49-54lbs. Take the average in account since people scales are not accurate.

So you telling me the tire weighs more than the wheel itself?

 

I weighed them and my 19's.. both with tires...
Stock 17's tipped in at 53 lbs..
19's tipped in at 52 lbs
Both W/ Tires...

 

UPDATE*

Today when tracking my new wheels and tires I saw a weight of 50 lbs for each wheel and tire (18' racing hart c3's mounted and balanced, wrapped, and boxed) so it made me even more curious to check out the weight of the stock wheels and tires..

With the shipping scales my shipping employees use, I took a stock 17' polished titanium edition wheel and tire and weighed it.

Weight - 51.20 lbs.

Now Im excited, as I figure all the wrapping material, etc on my Racing Harts will equate to a pound or pound and half.. So, 47~48ish on a wheel thats one inch larger compared to stock shouldnt be that bad..

Im pumped now !

(Reason for this post - to give an official weight to the 2003 17' wheel and tire combination ..)

 

blowtenza's are a heavy brand of tire as well.

But don't forget, 2 wheels that way the same, one may accelerate faster if the weight is closer to the center of the wheel. (i.e. 17" vs 19")

It was still a relief to me that the wheels im getting weigh less than the ones i have now overall though..We will see what the difference is acceleration wise

 

Who cares. The look of Phat wheels is worth the .1-.2 second loss ! You will still smoke most people on the road !

 

*UPDATE* the Racing Hart C3 in 18 weight in at 44.80 versus the stock 17's at 51.20 .. WahOo.
