O.Z. Superleggeras on Icelandic Pearl

Just picked up 18x8 superleggeras mounted on Nitto 555 235/40/18 tires. Before I bought them I was a bit unsure about how it would look with the white but in the end I just said ,"what the hell, just do it". After the install I was pretty happy.

Very nice, what offset are they?

Do you have a shot from the back showing the offset on the rear, and how far it comes out?

nice! your going to feel everything in the road now.. and watch out for the grooves in the road when you drive, your car is gonna pull into them now, since you have 18X8's.

Thanks.

Offset: +35mm

Nope, I don't have one from the rear but I'll take one during my lunch break and post it.

Thanks man, I hear you on the bumps. I'm already feeling them but thank God I live in Florida now where the roads aren't too shabby. If I was still in Brooklyn, I think I would have a rough time.

Sure you may. I got a package deal (Rim + tires + balancing/lugs/mounting) from a performance shop here in Florida for $1860.

Not my style, but they are very nice. I'm not into the hyperblack/gunmetal wheels unless the lip is machined.

I feel the same way, too many spokes for my taste too. Not that I don't like the many spokes look, but when it's time to clean them, yikes! Maybe I'm just too lazy.

Thanks. Yeah, I know what you mean about the gunmetal colour (I'm not a big fan either hence my initial reservation about how they would look on the white car). However, in person they're not as dark as gunmetal but not as shiny as silver. Kind of a matted silver colour. Viewed in bright sunlight it looks pretty good.

Yeah I did, but I think they're a little heavier (+1.5 lbs) and a whole lot more expensive (I barely escaped being banished to the doghouse by the little lady with this purchase)

I was so scared when I found out you changed wheels... They look great though, I really like the color combo. Perfect offset too, they fill out the wheelwells. Very envious.

Good thing is those wheels are very light and will definetely be a plus in time reduction in the 1/4.

Thanks man. Do you want the 17's now? I'll give you a good deal on them (remember they're only 16.5 lbs)

Doesn't the larger rim still negatively attect the 1/4 mile time? Isn't something like the final drive ratio is changed by the excessive rotational mass.....well if not then whatever those are still my most "favoritest" wheels in the whole wide world.

Yeah but the reduced weight still helps alot. Larger wheels dont necessarily negatively impact 1/4 times. The weight has to be closer to the hub to keep that from happening. You can clearly see that is the case on these Superleggeras.

Those are my favorite rims! I never thought they would've looked good on the maxima until I saw the pics! NICE! How much did they run you...if i may ask?

Has anyone ever seen the prodrive P1 rims? How do you think they would look on a sterling 2k2 maxima?
