What are the stock 2k2/2k3 HIDS equivalent to: 6000K or 8000K?

Do you know what the G35 and q45 would be rated at?

I read somewhere that they are 4500K too. BMW/Audi are 6K. I dont know of any OEM 8K.

IMO, I think all HIDs used in OEM applications are around 4300K-4500K. The color is dependent on the housing. Also, it's dependent on whether you are using projectors or reflectors. Take the A4, X5 (projectors) and TLs and Maximas (reflectors), different colors.

No, Audi and BMW (some) are using higher K burners. The color is from the choice of which metallic stuff used in the burner, not whether its reflector or not, case in point the Acura - reflector and blue-ish.

There is a great HID FAQ that has been posted here a few times.

My Gf's TL HID is not blue at all. It still has a touch of yellow in it.

Which year? From what i've noticed the older TL's (2k?) had a more "PIAA Superwhite" look to it. The newer TL/CL's (2k1+?) have a better output.

She has a 2002 TL. It's a very nice white, however, you can still see a pinch of yellow in there...
