I have the same buildup. Try some polishing compound or chrome polish or something slightly abrasive. It worked for me, although it took awhile.

There is a TSB out on the fogging issue..I saw it on that altmas.net site when someone posted the other thread on the clutch TSB. They (Nissan) recomend using 3m plastic polish. part #**** it's in the TSB.

yep, as asu said, Blue Magic Plastic Polish works well..

if that isnt available, try SafeCut (at Pepboys)

**What is really really really important about doing this**
1. Use a very soft cloth, microfiber if you can find it.
2. clean them with soap and water first... clean them well
3. Fold the cloth often while doing it.
4. Let the cleaner work, do not scrub. Better to do it gently and repeat the scrub hard.

If you dont do all of the above, you will get tons of little scratches from the dirt on the rag. Your lens will look better at a few feet away, but crap up close if you rub the dirt in or use a course cotton towel. The cleaners themselves won't leave swirls when done carefully.
