memory seat problems

Has anyone else had problems with their memory seats? I know that with the 6-speed, the emergency brake needs to be up in order to use them...but now they don't seem to work at all. They did work OK for the first month or so. The buttons will allow me to set the seat position in a memory position, but then it will never return the seat back to that position after moving it.

Any thoughts?

Well, you'll have to press the button for the saved position you want to get back to while the car is in park (and in your case, probably with the hand brake engaged. I have an auto and I have to be in park before I can get the memory seat to move back to a saved position. Hope that helps.

and make sure the switch on the dash is in the correct place. Someone might have accidently moved it to "off."

I didn't know that switch on the dash for backing the seat up when exiting did anything on the 6-speed. I will have to see if anyone moved it.

As for knowing that I have to actually save the seat position in memory...that seems pretty obvious. Besides, everything worked fine for the first month or so...

I will check out that switch on the dash.

Thank you.
