HID and NYPD
Just got in and found this in my mail box. I'll summarize. By the way I live on Staten Island.
It starts
Dear Nissan Maxima owner,
Then it goes on to say that their has been a trend of theft for HID's on these vehicles mostly happening late evening and early morning. It give some tips on making your car safer (all common sense stuff).
Most Importantly it gives contact numbers and say to call about suspicious persons and vehicles.
Staten Island Auto Crime Squad
718-876-8196
Staten Island Auto Larceny Unit
718-876-7606
It says to call
Detective Michael Fina with questions or concerns at
718-876-8196
Hope this is useful.
Sounds like a step in the right direction
Got my HID security kit. Hopefully i'll have time to put it in tommorow.

Without flaming me or ranting about a search, could someone provide a link to the HID security device. It's a short matter of time before the sorry trash here in Reno catch on.

I wish the police in North NJ would do that same.
