FSTB: My first impressions (Long)
The install was relatively easy, although I did take it off after closing the hood and imagining that it was harder to close, but it wasn't, I was just paranoid.
You don't notice anything driving around town. I live next to an industrial park that has a nice half-mile straight-away followed by a big rotary. I guess it would look like a big Lolipop from the sky. I hit that about 10:30 PM. You pretty much have the road to yourself, and there is no-one to complain about racing motors and squealing tires.
I wouldnt say that I could go around the "skidpad" any faster, 50-55, mph but it definately felt alot more comfortable and controllable, especially when you can hear all 4 tires howling in harmony. Coming out of the rotary to the straight (90 degree right hander requires a pretty good turn of the wheel) and is usually initiated while the car is under full understeer. You have to start the turn before you think, but the transition was solid and the back end stepped out just a tad. I kept my foot in it, dialed in some opposite lock and redlined 2nd. I went home after that and decided it was a good purchase!! ( I wish I had a track nearby! )
Can't wait for the RSB to be installed.
