X-Mas gift recommendations?
X-Mas gift recommendations?
I'm looking for rec's for parts for a 2k1 SE Auto that:
1) Are under $200
2) Would make nice xmas gifts
3) Ideally, are fairly simple to install
Pretend the car already has a PopCharger and clear side markers.

Or you can get a midpipe from Frankencar for $55 as well. That will make your popcharger growl.
Subwoofer? Amp?
AE pedals, AE door sills, AE shift ****, AE engine cover...........
well, i look at the ideal gift as something i want, but wouldn't pay for myself.
in light of this, i would say get the engine cover. looks nice, but overpriced at $100.
or rsb. but i don't know how much the cattman is. i think the adco is under $200, and i have the stillen, which is over 200.

Short throw shifter. I have the Pacesetter and I love it. $65
i second the motion on the addco rsb and frakencar midpipe. with shipping and the two parts you be right under $200.
What if the driver was more mild and did not autox or track the car? For myself, a sway bar would be a great mod (I rally-x), but not for the person I'm buying for.
The exhaust already drones a bit with the muffler that's on it. I'm guessing the midpipe would make that worse?
Lower springs are not an option because they make the car less friendly as a daily driver. This is a New England car.
An engine cover isn't a bad idea. Are there any particular ones I should consider?
Any other ideas for nice cosmetic upgrades? The car already has aluminum door sills. Pedals wouldn't be bad - again, any recs for specific sets to take a look at?
Keep in mind, I'm an Audi guy. I don't know who's who or what's what in the Maxima world, so speak slowly and lead me along in baby steps or else I might get lost

If not springs, then an RSB and an FSTB are both great options. If you are an Audi guy, then you are able to realize that the Maxima stock suspension sucks. You don't have to be an auto x-er to notice it. On the twisties, even the most tame driver could appreciate both of these mods.
Midpipe won't affect your exhaust tone. It will affect your intake noise. It is a VERY nice noise. I dumped my aftermarket exhaust because of the noise, but I will never part with my Frankencar. It purrs. Higly recommended! You can see it in the picture below (silver thing on intake).
AE engine cover is pictured below. $107 plus shipping from Dave B at Town North Nissan. 1-800-251-7278

AE pedals are also available through Dave B. I don't have those. I have a set of Nokya aluminum pedals. They were $29 through Southwest Autoworks. 602-795-1800

Happy Holidays!
AE being the Anniversary Edition that was an option in 2k1.
these are Nissan OEM items that can be bought at a Nissan dealership. but most won't be able to help you with the part numbers since they're not too experienced getting these things. for OEM Nissan parts, always deal with Dave Burnette as asu174 recommended. mention this forum and he'll give you a discount too 1-800-251-7278
