Divorce my Dealer ??

had my car at the dealer to do some warantee work (loose hood from frame that needed gluing) Maxima GLE 2003.
When i washed my cat this week end i saw a shiny piece of metal protruding from under the car front left side - i reached under & pulled out this tool.
What the h... is this thing ?
i am glad i din't have an operation done at that place & would have walked around with this thing.

i wonder if i should stay with the dealer ( mention it to them ?)
