Bug Splatters
Bug Splatters
Hi,
I drive a 2000 Maxima SE and the front part of my car
has bug splatters since a while and i tried to get rid
of them using the BUG & TAR remover, but in vain.
Can anyone let me know a better way to get rid of it?
It looks ugly!
Thanks in advance

j/k....I use Meguier (sp?) paint cleaner to remove any road tar or road kills on my car. For something that was left on there for a long time (esp bird drops) it will go thru the clear coat and leave a mark on the paint.....unless sanding down the clear coat, I havent seen a better way to remove it.
for pollen marks, it might be removed with clay bars, but I never tried it.
good luck
my buddy who has his own mobile detail company said he uses degreaser...but he said don't be stupid and leave it on the paint any more than a few seconds. also, he said you may want to reapply some wax where ever you touched the paint with it..
