Trunk lid carpeting
Question for you, I've seen some maxs with the formed carpet piece that goes on the trunk lid, but mine doesn't have one. Are they avail for 5gs and mine just sucks or do they not have them at all?

If you are talking about the real carpet with
the embroidered Maxima logo and not the 'mouse hair' fuzzy thing, that's very new and only started shipping in some '03's. I've an 01 with the Meridian package and my car did NOT come with that; I got it from Jerry Rome Nissan..like 55 bucks or so. It's a nice piece

1. Nissan was/is not if the best financial shape and cost cutting, especially the little stuff, reared its ugly head.
2. As for the Honda's...there is still a market demand for what has been perceived to be an extremely reliable vehicle, even in stripped down form.

Yes it became standard on the 02's and the 03's have the carpeted trunk mat with the Maxima name across which is nice. Nissan has done some weird things in the past In the 85-86 it was standard in the 89-94 it was as well. In 95 it only came if you got certain options and this lasted until 2001, for what you pay for them it should be standard. Some 03 accords dont have it as well and it was an EX
