Bug/Rock Deflector

I just installed the Ventshade bug deflector on my 2k3 Maxima and I was wondering if anyone could help me in removing the goofy ventshade logo on it. If it's one thing I hate, it's free advertising on my car!!!!

Are you talking about the Carflector? If so, the logo is just painted on top of the thing, i used the edge of a coin to scratch it off.

Yes it is the smoke color - to match my black Max, but wouldn't a coin scratch the hell out of it? Do you think it would be better to take a Dremel tool and buff it off?

Yeah a coin may be a bit ruff. Try the edge of a razor blade....or a dremel.....if you have steady hands....

It should just be painted on there, and come off pretty eaisly.

Give her a go......

Re: Bug/Rock Deflector

Someone here mentioned the use of plastic polish for their headlights to make roughness of formerly smooth plastic look good. So if you scratch off the name of the Carflector and it ends up a bit rough, you can try the polish to make it all smooth and shiny again.

Peace.
