New Owner here

Hey guys, I just got a 2003 Silver GLE with the Meridian Package. So far its a great car, but I've only put about 800 miles on it so far. One question right now. How do I set the memory for the driver's seat? I haven't read the manual thoroughly, but I was hoping u guys can help.

Also, I paid $26,500 for the car, and a lil over 30,000 after taxes and the extended 100,000/7 yr warranty. Is that considered a good deal?

Congrats on your new car! I think what you paid is pretty good considering you also got the extended warranty. Anything around $26K is pretty good (different geographic locations may have lower/higher prices on avg).

Anyhow, to set the driver's memory seat, hold down the SET button until, I believe, the lights on the "1" and "2" buttons light up. At that point, press and hold down the button which you want to associate the seating position to. Basically, just hold down SET and then choose whether you want "1" or "2" to hold that position.

After you're done, move your seat a little in some way, and then press and hold the memory button to see if you actually programmed the seat.

By the way, I think you can only change the seating position if you're standing still (i.e. doing it on the highway didn't work for me). Can someone confirm this real quick?

Edit: What I mean by changing seating position on the highway is by pressing one of the memory seats, not adjusting them manually (which you CAN do). In other words, while moving above X mph(don't know what the # is), if you press and hold one of the memory seat buttons, nothing will happen. This is what I want to confirm.
