Yet another MAF/intake thread...
I didn't want to hijack the intake experience thread so....
Has anyone here experienced a MAF failure with a "ghetto" airbox mod or with having just a cone filter on the stock intake? I lost my MAF today and to be honest I am very lucky that it happened where it did and I was able to get the car off the highway and out of traffic safely. When it goes there is a complete loss of power, no warning just bam!
I'm thinking about putting the stock intake back on for now and can't decide to go with cutting the airbox and using a drop-in K&N filter or just keeping the Apexi cone at the end with the stock midpiping.
Need some input from those that have been there.
