anybody else have a problem with their brake pedal making a "creaking" noise when it is being pushed down or released?
Anybody know what in hell the sound could be? It doesn't happen every single time, but I assume if left alone it could grow steadily worse. Any ideas? opinions? comments? suggestios?

Maybe the pedal assembly needs to be oiled? That would be the easiest thing to check first.

ye a lot of us have that problem... they feel like the pads are sticking to the rotors for a second... i think it might be the rust taht develops on the rotors, and i know under heavy braking and the brakes get hot it is imposible to stop and all it does is make noise... the stock brakes suck!! im gonna get a big brake kit soon

I would guess rust too... It only happens on mine when they are cold (ie.. when I am pulling out of the garage), AND is MOST noticeable after I have driven in the rain/snow (ie. wet conditions), and then parked overnight..

It goes away, tho... so I'm not worried about it..

Personally, I don't find anything wrong with the stock brakes... Mine stick like glue!!!

I think it is ok if the brakes make some noise when you first start out. They are cold and have rust on them, so a slight grinding noise is acceptable. I thought the original poster was actually referring to the brake pedal itself. My brakes are fine so far....they stick fairly well.

Be careful!

I washed my car the other day to get the salt and grub off the car and I think the water from the sprayer froze on the rotors. I have never heard the sound that others claim....but that night I almost went through a stop light because there was sooo much ice on the rotors.

Big Brake Kit & ABS

Does the kit interfere in any way with the functionality of the ABS in the car?

internal noise:

the noise i am talking about is coming from the pedal.....not the rotors or the brakes. Only the pedal creaks when depressed or released.
