Insulating Your Stock Air Box

Max'ers:

In SUV's, we used to place a adhesive-backed insulated wrap around the front air snout and air box to keep the intake air cooler. In addition, we would slightly rout out the intake snout and drill a few holes in it just to smooth out and increase the airflow. We also wrapped the air flow sensor so it did not get heat-soaked.

Anyone done that here? Have pictures? This would be an alternative for changing out to a more-open air filter and intake tube.

Thanks

Vic
