BOMZ FRB installed

Hey all- I just installed my BOMZ front strut bar on my 2K SE, and it went on without a problem in about 10 min. Quality seems good,as does the finish. The best part? It was $24 on ebay, shipped for $36. I know there are cheaper ones on there, but I liked the looks of this one. Though its hard to notice the difference in the steering on the one ride I took it for. Looks cool though

I just ordered one like yours from Ebay. Was it hard to install? I know my luck. I don't want to screw up the suspension.

It is about the eaiest MOD you can do other than putting a new CD in your CD player.

They really are easy, just don't make the mistake I did and over torque. If you have a torque wrench, don't go any tighter than 30 ft lbs. If you don't have one, you might want to.

On a similar note, I just installed a rear strut tower brace last night...not quite as easy. A little harder to get to. I noticed the benefit of that right away. The FSTB, well, you gotta get into some turns to really sense the difference. Otherwise, you are right that just around town normal driving really doesn't stress the body enough for you to realize when the bar does it's job and holds the rigidity. I now have the FSTB, RSTB and Stillen Rear Sway Bar...I guess I'm about as tied together as you can get!! It's great!!!

Do you still have stock tires? I have the Stillen FSTB & RSB but I noticed that ever since I installed the RSB, the car handling is too good for the tires. I think the car outhandles the capabilities of the Potenzas. I can't wait to upgrade the tires to really feel the potential of the suspension mods.

Yes, unfortunately, I do. New wheels (going to 18 x 8.5) and tires (235/40's) will hopefully be on before Thanksgiving this year. I have 24k on the car and the stock tires still have a little more life. I'm trying to be patient and fiscally responsible and wait, but it is a hard thing!! I've done all my research and want to go with SSR Competition's and Sumitomo HTR+ tires. Hopefully nothing else comes along to confuse my decision. The Stillen RSB does make a significant difference, doesn't it? You would probably be happy with the RSTB, too. I got mine off ebay, a Trust bar for 39.95 (I "bought it now" for $40 and shipping). Feels great, but you are right, it is like the tires are no longer matched to the suspension. I'm really trying hard not to go back to tirerack.com and place an order...really trying...

Yep, I noticed right away that the tires were giving out before the suspension now. I'm tempted to upgrade them but since they've only got about 2,500 miles on them I am having a hard time justifying it. Not only that, but I will probably want to get 18" rims, lower it, new springs and struts oh man it never ends.

But I will say, you could have got a new set of tires for the same money if you got the BOMZ FSTB and Cattman RSB instead of the Stealin' ones:
