Here's a link to pictures of the K40 i got installed. More pics will be posted later of the k40 at night. I absolutley love this radar and recommend it to any one. The control switch (on city, on highway, off) is in the center console along with the city/highway light!

My friend has the K40 in his X5 and it is absolutely incredible. I wish I had that kind of money to drop for a radar setup like that! Clean install!

how long have you had the car? I heard Jersey is worse on HID theft than here in NYC..

 

all you can see in the pic is the indicator lights. left is front, right is rear. my stepdad has had it in his 740i and 740iL. his was apart of his gauge cluster so you really didnt have to take your eyes off the road. he recently went with a 985 bel and hates it compared to the k40.

 

That's good that you don't see the radar, it supposed to be hidden. Just look for the two indicator lights under the climate control. THe on/off/city/highway switch is located in the center console i'll tke some pictures tommorow. There are two different radar modules that do most of the work. One behind the front grill and another behind the back bumper. The license plate mount is strictly for laser sensing and defusing.

I got the car two weeks ago and love it very much . I found this board right before i purchased the Max. I read up on the HID thefts so I got a Viper 790. Most of thefts are in Northern NJ and i'm more central. I do go to Hoboken a lot and I saw someone post about it was happening there too. We'll see what happens
