Need last minute advice on intake

At this point I've got my head right on getting the Stillen Hi Flow intake, mainly because it appears to be an easier install than the Frankencar intake, and provides very similar results to Franken. The cost difference is immaterial.

Due to my lack of experience in this area of modding, I'm just looking for someone to confirm for me that this is a good decision to make, based on experience with the stillen intake, etc. Thanks guys.

I have one..its a very nice looking intake..sounds great...price isn't worth it IMO......but with Stillen you're always gonna pay a high price....but its beautiful really....machined adapter, chrome filter with stillen logo embossed....

is it worth it, I guess....if the price was lower I'd say wholeheartedly yes

It is extremely easy to install the FrankenCar. The only thing I knew how to do before buying the Maxima is changing spark plugs, oil and air filter. There is more involved with changing the stock intake with the WAI part than adding the midpipe. Most of your work is the cone filter assembly. You will notice more butt dyno gains from the FrankenCar. The Stillen is a nice intake, but the FrankenCar with Apexi is definately better.

Another thing to consider. If you buy the Stillen, while you will see an increase in your top end, you will notice torque loss in the low end. With the FrankenCar you won't lose the low end torque.

Really? I thought I saw an increase in the torque with the Stillen...maybe it's because I like to stomp on it more knowing that I'm hearin the roar of the VQ!!

It's just low end Torque. With the FrankenCar you really feel it kick in at the 4k mark. Ah, the VQ roars more with the midpipe

IMO you need the midpipe for nice highend gains. Stillen has no midpipe.
