maybe i kant drive.. hehe but i raced my cousins prelude..... lost by a few car lengths down on the freeway.. besides we were only hittin around 95 max.. too much traffic on the 10 freeway.. hehe but ne ways we started off the on ramp and him startin in front, i was pullin up on him until i guess his vtec kicked in on his 2nd gear.. i dunno?? but i had my overdrive off, so i dunt noe yet... well i was then just tryin to catch up, until i was at 5600 rpm, and then we had to slow down for traffic.. about 2 car lengths ahead of me.. never got to catch up close enough to beat him... 2 days ago raced a supra.. woah did i get my *** wooped... GEEZ i felt stupid for racing one.. it was riced up, and with an exhaust for sure.. really nice car.. hehehe but got beat =( o well..... just wait for the 2002 max.. hehehehehehe *snicker*

Ummmm kinda strange you all of a sudden post this after others denying that a prelude would take a Maxima on the highway and now this was posted.

Sorry dude, but no Prelude will take a Maxima on the highway unless its heavily modded. It will not happen period.

 

An automatic it might.

 

I owned one, and it beat MANY Preludes highway style. My Sentra beats them off the line till 4th!

Hmmmm.....the stock 190hp 95-96 Prelude VTECs can run ultra low 15s well into the 91+mph range. The new Prelude is just on the tail of the older model. I can easily see a Prelude taking out a 5th gen auto. I don't know of any stock auto 5th gens running mid to lower 15s . Most modded 5th gen autos are running mid to higher 15s at barely 90mph.

You seem to have forgotten that this was highway style? Auto or 5spd doesn't matter, it will still have the power there. The autos are slow off the line thats all.

I lost to a viper and a bmw 740 this weekend.

I knew I couldn't beat a viper. But its fun messing with them.
My car looks like a damn SUV compared to the viper.
From what I could see. He had dual exhaust system and some 18's. He had lots of stickers. Not ricey, it was perfect. It was a dark forrest green color.
He knew I was toying with him.


On the tollway there was this dude who looks like he was going through his mid life crisis.
Old but I guess he still thought he was young.
Anyways I aggrivate him to race me. Finally he stomps on the gas and so do i. My max goverened at 120 ( don't ask me why... Dumb max) and he just kept on going.
