My powertech is loud without B pipe or Y pipe. I am getting both this weekend, so I will let you know...

Greek, I know what you are talking about. You want a more throaty sound, kind of like what you get with Flowmasters on a Mustang, for example, right? If so, I would also like to know that muffler would get me that sound (or as close to it as possible), because I like it more than the "bumblebee" sounds coming from all the ricer cars here in the city, heh.

Well, I had a mustnag and an LT1 Trans am,.. no way you will get that from a Max... you can get a nice deep sound from a powertech, but it wont roar like a V8....Its not ricey for sure.

I figured it wouldn't, but getting the sound to be more throaty than whiny would be a definite plus. I looked at some Powertechs online right now - any particular model number that you would recommend?

I have a HKS muffler. Not ricey at all, but it wasn't cheap. I like the look of the polished muffler on my car. Every time I wash the car I make sure I get under there and polish it up. It also has a nice deep throaty sound, no rice here. I hate fart cans!

I bought the PT1011. It is the dual 3.5" tips. I think Kloogy has the PT1012. That is a dual 4" or 4.5" tips. I personally wanted a little smaller, but these tips are still huge. I like it though and hope to install today.
