AE bodykit vs. Stillen kit installs, thoughts/comments.

Has anyone installed their own AE kit or Stillen bodykits? I've heard rumours the AE kit was a pain whereas the Stillen kit is much easier to install (pretty much "clip-on"), and vice versa.

Can anyone share their headaches and/or pleasures with installing their kit?

Also if you've had it painted/installed, how much did the Stillen paint job cost ya? I'm just trying to get an average figure that I could expect to pay while I weigh in the factors of price/convenience, etc.. I imagine about $200-$300 would be a decent guesstimate?

Thanks!

Don't get the AE. It's too plain IMO.. Stillen Aero/Touring kits are definitely a lot nice but not too aggressive either..

I've installed my own AE kit. It just takes paitience and a lot of dry fitting. It took me 3-4 days, with breaks for a total of about 13 or so hours to get it down right the first time. I'm pretty **** about getting it right the first time, so if it didn't fit properly or if I had to devise a new method of trying to install it, we took a break and collectively went back to the drawing board.

Sounds like AE will be it

Stillen is too ricey in the rear, and the Touring front is fugly... overlapping fins (sorry). Aero is ok.. but meh, I'll settle for AE

Too ricey? I dont consider anything on my ride rice man. Im as "anti-rice" as it gets Then again its a matter of each owns personal taste too, so good luck and enjoy it. Btw the AE costs more then AERO.

Hehe yeah very true It's alllllll about personal preference. Honestly, I think the main reason I will take the AE route is because it'll be original : you will not see a SINGLE AE here (yet) ... in Canada

I still think the Aero kit is nice though, don't get me wrong!

BTW as far as price goes, $795 shipped for me for the Aero kit, vs $1050 shipped for the AE.. I figure after the fact (paint), it will amount to more or less the same give or take $20...
