Me Vs. Stealth R/T

Me Vs. Stealth R/T
I was cruising the loop with my friend. I spotted a Stealth R/T which I thought at first was a TT model. Came alittle closer and didn't spot any TwinTurbo badge so I decided to mess around with the guy. When we finally came to our turn to go the other way, he slows down to about 5mph to wait for me to catch up and line up next to him since we were basically alone. He got the jump and pulled on me until I was on top of 1st gear, thats when I started to catch up. In 2nd gear we were neck to neck until I hear him shift into 3rd gear, thats when I walked on him. 3rd gear comes and I'm about 1 car length ahead now and walk ever so slowly and then shut down at 85-ish mph because of traffic up ahead.
At the stoplight ahead, he rolls down his window and his passenger asked me, "Is that the 250HP one?" I said, "Nope its a 2000 with 222hp, manual?" Him "yep" Me "How man HP?" Him "Same, are you stick?" I said "Nope" Wow the look on his face...

Similar thing happened to me with a 3000GT non turbo, But we started at a stop, I spun out all through 1st gear and darn automagic put me in 2nd at around 30 mph, I was half a car from the start and maintained a 2 car lead through 3rd. The guy pulled up next to me at the light and said he wasnt ready, so this time I was ready to get a better launch, this time no peel and he dumps his clutch and im off again but by 1.5 cars and pulling, around 75 I had to have been 3-4 cars on him easily.

I think it may be my oversized tires. As for HP, I've seen a big difference in my 1/8th mile time and about a .05 second change in 1/4 mile. heh.
