Another frustrating dealer visit...

I went into to get the oil changed and have the accelerator pedal clicking checked out at the dealer today. First, they didn't give me a loaner (which I always get at the other dealership I usually goto) & couldn't even provide me a ride home so I ended up waiting 2 hours. Secondly, the service writer was a complete @ss. He comes in and starts telling me that because I've lowered the car, the ENTIRE warranty on the car is voided. So I told him that the dealer has to prove that a specific mod caused a problem which is being claimed against the car's warranty. He kept insisting that that was not the case and then just left saying, "we don't have to prove anything, you better be careful in the future." Wtf? Anyway, 2 hrs later, the oil's been changed and they ordered the part for the pedal clicking.

My question..The guy's ignorance completely irritated me & I'm thinking of just faxing over some info from here just to make sure he get's his facts straight before spewing out complete BS. Do you think this is a good idea or should I just let it go?

Also, if I goto another dealer for the intermittant pedal clicking noise, do you think they'll just order the part and do the work w/o test driving it & instead just looking at the paper the dealer gave back to me saying the clicking noise was present and they ordered the part (part # isn't mentioned though)? Like I said, the clicking isn't always there so I don't want them to say its normal when they don't hear it b/c there's definately something wrong.

Does Nissan consumer affairs do much for ppl that just call up and tell them of their bad experience w/a dealer? Or is it just for ppl having problems w/a dealer doing warranty work?

Sorry for the long post but I just want to get your opinions on the subj.
TIA

If you had a bad experience, consumer affairs will look into it, I would let them know. A lot of times after contacting consumer affairs, you get a call from the dealership with an apology, and some resolve of your problem.

I have had rough times with dealerships, consumer affairs, and aftermarket parts, but good luck to you.
