Transmission service at 30k miles?
When having the 30k mile transmission service performed, is the fluid just drained from the plug and refilled with 4 or 5 quarts or does the pan need to be removed and the filter replaced?
Thanks, T

I just got my tranny serviced. They suck all your fluid out, I think about 12 quarts if I'm right. Then fill it back up. It was 79.95 and a pan drop is another 59, but the guy didn't have the right gasket or filter so I just got my fluid flushed out. I'll definitly get my pan dropped at 60K.

My understanding is that the tranny does not have a serviceable trans filter. Correct me if I'm wrong. Had mine done, no filter replacement.

under the table? if so, 30 bucks will do. does he have the machine to suck out the tranny fluid at home?
if he just does the regular drain and fill...10 bucks is enough.
