big brake kit with stock 17s?

is there a clearance problem with the stock wheels for a big brake kit or will they fit with spacers? I noticed the stock brakes can get a little shakey at times. I rather get the brakes before rims if they fit. any suggestions?

Talk to the people before you buy them. Everyone who sells brembos or AP should be able to tell you if you have to change wheels. I think with most of the big brakes you do need a different offset (more or less I'm not sure)

the clearance issue is with the shape of the spokes, however spacers help.

i bought a big break kit from stillen last year and they they told me that the caliper would clear my 2k2 rims..anyway after installing the bb kit the caliper DID NOT clear the rims so i ended up buying new 18 inch bbs rx and kumho tires.

I don't know about the Stillen AP racing kit, but the Precision Brakes one piece 13x1.25 rotor w/. Superlite 4piston Caliper does NOT fit the stock 17 inch rims even w/. spacers. We tried to put it on and it wouldn't fit and the shop that did the installation said that spacers wouldn't help either as the studs were not long enough.

From what I understood, we're not talking mm to make those calipers fit...I don't remember the exact spec, but the guy said that I would need pretty big spacers and studs and with 18's on the way, i didn't want to deal with the hassle. Either way, as I don't know what size spacer and studs are needed, make sure u talk to someone before u jump into this.

BBKs on the stock Nissan high offset factory 17s?? No friggen' way. The amount of space you would need would be dangerously high.
