Does your opener have a rolling code? There's a separate procedure to program it if you do. Do you have the instructions included in your owners manual?

Weird...My 2K2 has the homelink and works fine on the opener at my house, but my roommate has a 2001 TL with homelink, and his won't program. They're weird.
