dealers & manufacturer on TSB service
Well its been so long since I've been active since I'm working a lot of hours. Glad to see the forum still kicks butt and that I'd say is in large part thanks to Kev even now for moderating.
Anyhow I should get to the heart of the matter here. I'm going to prepare myself to battle against the dealer and Nissan to cover the defects that are obvious in the TSBs for the ECEM and the Coils. Their inability to properly diagnos a problem lead to me being two months past warranty on the ECEM and only half my coils were replaced and seeing some of the posts indicate I'm gonna have more problems. I'm at 30,400 miles on a pre-10/2000 run.
I've already been blown off by my dealership and this is just cheesing me off. So now I have to fight with Nissan.
Point of this is what kind of tact should I approach this with? Seems some of y'all have some great success and others of us have had to suck it up. Point is I held off on removing OEM parts this whole 3yrs + to avoid voiding warranty etc. and still problems came up and now they pretend it ain't their fault at all.
Let your advice run free. thanks in advance

possible plans
If you have had your car regularly serviced by Nissan, then I would call their 800 number and remind them of this detail. Similarly, if you've been buying Nissans regularly (even as much as 5-10 years) then remind them that this will weigh heavily against buying another. I've had people with very good luck using the first tactic (which of course they were doing so don't bother lying as they can look it up). Hope this helps.
