Since the redline is increased, then you now have the ability to hit higher rpms.
Additionally, say you didn't get your redline increased it's still not bad. For lack of a better illustration let me put it this way:
Stock Form, Base power, 6500rpm: 255hp
1st gear tops out at 35mph
Modified Form, 6500rpm, HP Adder (e.g. Turbo for example): 320hp
1st gear tops out at 42mph
At the same rpm, you hit higher speeds. So that alone will tell you that the guidelines in the book isn't really set in stone.
Again, that's just an example. But hopefully you get the idea

Yeah that doesnt make sense to me either. Its not a matter of power. You will top out at 35mph whether you are at 120hp or 600hp. There is a set amount of mph per 1000rpm and it is a linear graph. The only way you could change the maximum speed in a gear without physically changing the ratios is to increase the maximum rpm attained.

I could use a little help with that also. And I'm also going to have to figure out what to tell the wife when the car won't run for 3 days.

Isn't the reason that stock vehicles, when given power adders like S/C and Turbo's - trap higher at the quarter mile, being in the same gear (not necessarily the same rpm) just because more power was added?
Yes they trap higher becuase they are able to reach a higher rpm in the same gear, unless they have to shift one more time becuase of the added power.
For example if I add an intake, headers, and ECU most likely I will be trapping at a higher speed. Instead of trapping at 95.0 I would trap at about 98 or 99 becuase the extra power allows my car to accelerate faster in the 1/4 mile and thus enable it to reach a higher speed before the end. At 95mph (I am not sure of the exact numbers but this is assuming 120 is the top speed in 4th gear at 6500rpm) I would be at 5146rpm. At 99mph I would be at 5363rpm. Yes I trapped higher in the quarter becuase of the extra power but my speed limit in 4th gear will ALWAY BE 120mph @6500rpm. If you trap over 120mph then you will have to shift into 5th gear.

You could always get a MSD window switch or simply use a shift light, so the extra RPM are just an added safety margin.
The TS ECU is still worthwhile when you're off the bottle PLUS you're A/F ratio AND timing would be "safer" on the NAAAAWZ.

Yes.
Yes...not independently though.
$495.
People better start ordering these....so I can get mine on the R&D list.

Just BUY it!
However, make sure you get a before/after dyno though.
I would buy this in a HEART BEAT if I had a 2K2+. You guys are nutz not jumping on it.
ummmm no..i mean yes.....I mean no.
Ok...I'll go

the 6th Gen's are 'in limbo'
i do not believe Technos ever got a tester for their ECU...
looks like 6gens dont want any goodies ;P

I've checked out their website and I haven't figured out anything yet. Can someone just post a new thread that has all the details as far as actually getting one of these puppies? I'm willing to throw the cash at it, but I haven't seen any actual part #.

Basically, remove it and ship it with your name/contact number to:
TECHNOSQUARE, Inc.
22521 S.Normandie Ave.,
Torrance, CA 90501
Apparently, they call you for payment info or you can contact them at:
TEL (310) 787-0847
FAX (310) 787-0948
Anything else you'd like to know, just call. That's pretty much it.
BTW, I'd put a piece of tape across the front of the ECU with the car info, ie year/make/model/trans type, just to minimize any chance for confusion or mix-up.

To those who like the sound, that is an INJEN CAI and a Powertech 1012 combination. It drones a bit, but sounds perfect IMO. PM me with any Questions.
there is one for the 6 speed and there is a independent dyno. it dynoed at 224 with intake and muffler. thats its and ecu. so it helps you can go to there website and there is a syno chart

You will notice that it did not happen on the 2-3 change cause I didnt hit the limiter. Another note is that I have one or more bad plugs, we noticed the car "dropping the nose" at 5000-5300 on the dyno before we sent the ECU in, and it still somewhat does it. When I get them changed, the car will be a true beast.

just got an email from danny...
the offical launch of the website for the Automagics (and the altimas) will be Dec 1st.
if you guys have 6gen friends and wanna show the love.. tell them to help out!!

Thanks for your positive support guys! I know the Technosquare guys are truly happy that they can fill the void and help make your cars (and mine) faster and tuned
