I am seriously contemplating the purchase. I was practically pulling out my wallet until I saw SES light come on for a couple of days. It's off again now but I want to watch it for a while.

I dont think anyone has bought it yet, being that it takes you car outta comission for a few days.

I donated my ECU for the 03 Auto, and will post my results as soon as the ECU is back in my hands and I get it back in my car.

 

I am waiting to hear back from Cheston on the different options I might have...my mods are my issue at this point. Nitrous, cams, headers and the rest of the exhaust, UDP. I may need a different ECU program for mine as opposed to others. If anyone else can answer my question, PM me.

I *DOUBT* they'll accomodate the cams/N20, since they are still working on the 350Z FI programs back from Techtom of Japan. Plus, no orders is showing TS Maxima owners are a joke and that the R&D just isn't going to produce revenue.

I'd still say the base program is going to give you plenty of gains for your $$$$. Not maximum possible, but I'm sure they'll upgrade you once they do have a N20 or cam program.

Honestly, I wouldn't want them to make a N20 program, just the cams IF necessary.

Nozzle was a cluster and got ABORTED yesterday. (After trying to get Z06 injectors to unsuccessfully sit on the fuel rail). Sooooooo, DP NX kit is next up. All exhaust is on though.

DP NX kit is a much better setup IMO.

 

I needed a 28# Bosch injector. That was the best one I could find that might fit. Pwn3d.

 

So, you needed a smaller length injector inorder to keep the fuel rail height the same?

 

The Z06 ones were 3/4 of an inch too long.

You guys got something great here and I can't understand why nobody is jumping on it. Ever since '97, Maxima owners have been b!tching and griping for a performance ECU and here it is. Yet...NOBODY is buying/trying it?!?!?!? I don't get it.

I'm buyin...as soon as TS confirms that they have an '03 Auto ECU available. If i had a 6spd this thing would already be in my car

 

Cams yes. headers yes. intake yes. exhaust yes.

"naws" depends.. if its Dry. then no. they can only retard the timing a little bit and keep the fuel levels same. but for wet systems they can help since you're actually adding more fuel into the system. but that will require the car to be in the shop for tuning..

I called you a hater because your head is in the clouds regarding students who don't necessarily have $500 to spend. Yes, some of us bought the Maxima when it cost less than 30K. Yes, some of us got a little boost from the folks (mine gave me 3k to add to my down payment). And yes, some of us aren't livin' it up, able to get whatever we want without having to prioritize the mods, along with everything else that is on an average 20 year old's shoulders. I don't expect something like this to be the "same price as a JET sticker", but I can damn well voice my opinion about how I, for one, can't/don't want to afford it right now, without having "haha, stupid student" rubbed in my face.

 

First, I NEVER said anything NEGATIVE towards being a poor college student, since I'm still trying to pay off student loans. That's fine...just don't b!tch about it. I don't b!tch about NOT owning a G35 instead...ok once in awhile.

Dude that "I am a poor student" line gets tired. Sell your Maxima and get a Civic if you want to play you gotta pay. There are so many cheap *** people on the .org it isn't funny. A lot of the heavily modded Maximas on this board are owned (or should I say driven) by "students". Damn there are even guys that mod the hell of out their mom or dads car and still live at home with them. If you don't like the price don't buy it. Drive your relatively new car, study and don't whine about having to pay reasonable amounts for mods.

I am assuming you mean tuning as in when I tune the DP setup on the dyno with the SAFC II? (not me driving to Cali to work with Techno on my car)

Why do I have to sell my car? I can afford it. I can afford modding it. Who says I won't pay $500 for the chip upgrade? I said at first that it's more than usual (when it was supposedly going to be $600) for a chip. Now that it's $495, it's more down to the level where I thought it should be, if not quite there. Your argument is incredibly weak, if not laughable. "Pay to play" is just as overused as the "poor student" excuse. Why do I have to be a sheep like you, and bust a nut all over my keyboard everytime a mod comes out? Oh no, what ever shall I do if I have to wait until my credit card is paid off before I drop another $500 on it, and then some. Please, get real - some of us actually have a sense of what it's like to live a relatively debt free life.

If you call what I am doing "whining", then you have been very lucky in life, to not have encountered whining in its finest of forms. We are still working on the auto program. cams and nitrous will require custom tuning. Are you running a wet nos system or a dry setup? Cams will most likely require more fuel on the top end, where as most stock cams will be leaning out.
