I'll have to see if I'll be able to make it down that way on the 13th... Hopefully I'll have my car back next week sometime... if not, it'll still be at SFR for you to see, if you stop by... lol...
i've had it for the past 6-8 months now, no problems. I think i'm the only person that has it. The A/F is on the rich side due to a conservative tune, but TS has been denying that the past three times i've been there with a plethora of excuses.
despite my recommendations for them to put it up on their website, they still haven't bothered to. The new guy in charge of maximas at TS (brian) is a complete moron and utterly useless. At least with the old employee Danny he was polite and kept me updated throughout the process.
quite honestly, I don't blame them. The maxima market has become a wide array of cheap mod-happy people and I can't expect any company to put out the time, effort, nor quality of parts that won't be purchased

I ran it with the following setup:
5spd
stillen intake
ts ecu 7100 rpm rev limit
stillen y-pipe
18 inch wheels
I now have added the following and will dyno again soon:
fed spec conversion
2.5 inch b-pipe (this should add a good bit in the midrange www.motorvate.ca for his 4th b-pipe dyno)
still waiting for lightweight clutch and flywheel combo

you and icey2k1 really got this thing kick started, but unless people just start buying these ECUs (which they won't), it will stay a backburner project

Icey gets ALL the credit for starting this, I really only came in once he got it rolling.

okay....stupid me....here it is.... http://www.technosquareinc.com/maxima.htm
Anybody with a 2k2 6spd got this?
...did they ever offer us a GD price? I just want to make sure. $495 is a very reasonable price for what it does, not complaining, but I thought it wouldnt hurt to ask.

I asked this earlier, but I don;t know if anyone told me why. WHy can 00use the 01 ECU. I know of the EGR differneces, but and ECU w/o EGR will not throw an EGR code. Any other reasons why 00's can't use the 01 ecu?

that would have depended when you went. It could have been alex's ECU sitting there.
and there will be no GD price on these cause they had a very bad experience with 4th gen owners flaking out.
There is speculation that a 00 can indeed run a 01 ECU. It has been noted that several of the sensors could be different as the 01's are a transition year and is more closely similar to 02's + whereas the 00 is similar to the 98-99 4th gens

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this...
I've been reading these posts ever since the thread first started. As an automatic 2K1 california spec owner I have to say that I'm SO confused as to how this ordeal is proceeding and SO concerned with the troubles people have been having and and SO unimpressed with Technosquare's ability to get things done that I would NEVER consider putting anything made by this company in my car. I'm sure there are others that feel the same way.

after all this, the fact remains that the 4th gen ECU which has been out for awhile hasn't made them much money either. And considering the last one of 30+ potential buyers flaked out a year or two ago, they have every right to not appreciate the market.
We see this on the org everyday, owners wanting to make their cars faster without spending good money. If we aren't willing to pay a decent price for decent products, we will not get any. Fact is that 40 people with "cash in hand" voted for the product, and the product is out, but there are no buyers. There are few buyers of the 02+ ecus as it is. But check how many cars have TS ecus on other boards, many just buying the cheaper L-spec version
lets be real, the usual maxima owner will not opt for this mod. Probably out of the price range and usual familiarity with bolt on mods. Intake, y-pipe, catback, suspension is the usual stuff and even those mods have to be dirt cheap to buy. Same reason why people hardly buy headers due to cost and installation. They'll just stick with $10 ebay strut bars, $30 ebay intakes, tint, kombat bodykit, etc. You've been on the org, you know the trend

you said "thats not what ICE had reported". I thought it was something he mentioned but now your saying it something I said?
so did you call TS yourself for a ECU upgrade and they told you they can't help you?

I am a buyer but TS says they can't help.

Thank you!
i might be one of the few, but i would have/still would pick even an L spec for my 01 auto. my main concern is extended rev limiter and cutting the top speed limiter is nice as well.

I was suppose to be the test car for the Cali-spec 01 auto's but it never happened.
Nismo-Max have you actually called TS to see if they will sell you a 5sp 01 ECU?
Just a note here, even with all the crap I dealt with from TS on this "project" I am still getting my ECU tuned there when I convert to a 5sp and get my headers on.

ICE has been in constant contact with TS and told me that TS has them ready to sell but isn't selling them yet
