idle question

My 03 GLE has 23k miles on it. When my car was new, it idled at 500 rpm. Now it idles at 700 rpm and I can feel a slight vibration when I have my hand on the steering wheel. I am taking the car into the dealer tomorrow for service. I plan on having then do the hesitation tsb, check the coils and maf. Is there anything else I should have them check? Does anyone else have a slight vibration in the steering wheel? The vibration is a kind of sputter that lasts for about 1 second, pauses for a second and sputters again. Although it is a small increase, I am still concerned about the idle speed. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I am not sure what it is but my 2K2 has 17000 miles and it does the same thing. I am taking mine in for the MAF,hesitation, bose cutout, and cold start up rattle.

What coil TSB are you talking about?

500 is too low of an idle for an auto. at least all that i have been in. my idle is 725 but if you are experiencing vibration then i would have it checked out.

Check out your Owner's Manual, my Max2K idling speed is supposed to be at 550-650. So, 700 rpm is not that far out of range.

I doubt that...
My guess would be you've got a misfire, maybe more than in one cylinder. Do this quick check by disconnecting injectors one after another, you'll see which cylinder is dead.
