Alright, this is it. Alost of you have read my previous posts in which I've deleted because they where getting off subject and just taking up room on the board. I know space costs money.


My original question was 2001 vs 2002. I've asked some questions and answered most through the search method. My only last 2 questions are.

1. For anyone who has drived a 2001 GLE and 2002 Gle model. Is the ride affected at all in the change of years? Example. the 2001 was quite w/ the windows up, handled amazingly, and floated over bumps-very important.
and
2.I noticed on the searches the 02's had the maf sensor problem. No biggie there. But i noticed a some of the guys had pinging noises in their 3.5's and others had noticed shavings in their oil, one resulting in engine failure. How typical is this, or is this just a select few (1 of 1000)probably from beating the crap out of their motor and not allowing proper break in?

1.haven't driven in GLE's but have in SE's. The main difference felt would be more torque steer from 02 due to increased engine size.
2. seems that the pinging is mostly on modded 02+. Pretty sure about that. all nissan motors are strong and can handle a fair amount of modding. since this sounds like your new family truckster that won't get modded, go with an 02 if you can find one, simply for the added stock pwr.
