What is a TSB? Is it something the dealer has to do for free?

 

Technical Service Bulliten: The Dealer should do these services for free but some dealers are A$$holes and they can charge your for something you need not be done to ur car.

 

technical service bulletin. tells you that something needs to be fixed. diffirent from a recall cause the dealership does not do the work for free.
RECALL - has to be fixed, somthing dangerous
TSB - suggestion, will make car run better, etc. does not have to be fixed

here's a Q for you guys. My homeboy got his 2K SE w/45K mi on it from the auction, and just had to replace all coils @ cost of $400... Do you think the dealership should not have charged him??
