new car question help me out!!!!

I am thinking about getting rid of my 2000 I30t for a little faster of a car. I have a few cars in mind for a replacement.

CAR MUST BE BLACK!!!!! all other colors are ugly!
1- 2002 Nissan Maxima
-6 spd or auto?
2- 2002 Lincoln LS V8

3- 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SL/SE

If you guys can help me choose one of these cars i would greatly appriciate it. And the money well lets just say that it needs to be in the 25,000 and under range. I like the bigger sedan type cars so the Altima might not be a good pick. and if you have any other cars i looked over help me out

You're the one that's going to be driving and paying for it. Why don't you test drive all 3 and pick the one you like best. Personally I'd pick a Nissan over a Ford any day.

hey, i've rented the Licoln LS V8 many times, its a pretty nice car in my opinion, sporty luxury feel to it, love that V8 "kick" when i punch the gas. others may disagree... but ofcourse i love my 2k2 max. good luck.

Depending on how long you plan on keeping your car... if you plan on keeping it for a while go with the Maxima definitly 6 speed... if you are just goin to go with lik a 3 year deal go with the lincoln ls. That car is beautiful inside and out, but i said 3 years because its still a ford and fords break.

04 Acura TL, but you will have to hand up $35k.

If you have time cleaning and waxing, a black Max looks great. I have two GLEs -- a dark green and a sheer silver -- and the green takes a lot more effort to keep it looking good. Also, dark colors are bad in the summer because they trap heat.

You say can only drop 25k, just drop another 1K or 2 for tax you can get "new" I35 or a G35 aready. Plus it comes with leather or bose, sun, etc. I would just get I35 and put the old body kit or 17 rim in.

Btw, the V6 Altima only comes in the SE trim. And it's also larger than the 2002 Maxima.

The problem with only spending mid-high 20's on the I35 or G35 is that you get one with bare bones. No sun package, sport package, winter package, upgraded rims, navigation, and so forth. BLah to me.

Umm, there's no 3.5SL Altima only a 2.5SL and a 3.5SE. I dare to recommend the 3.5SE 5sp Altima . The 6sp Max should suffice also.

Dangit, i should stop being so unclear in my posts

The Altima has a longer wheelbase, taller, *slightly* larger headroom space and overall passenger volume.

The rest - legroom, hiproom, shoulder room - the 2002/3 Maxima is either tied or larger.

Altima handles better in stock form(independent rear)
5 speed is sick- (fastest FWD sedan ever tested in C&D) Nice dual exhaust
Its newer in production and equally as big overall
And it seems to be responding better to mods than the MAX......to date

yeah, the new altima is bigger than 2k-2k3 maximas but not bigger than the 2k4 maxima. That maxima is huge and is probably the same size as a lexus gs300.

Maybe, maybe not. The 2002/3 Maxima is already larger than the GS in:

Exterior length: 191.5" for the Maxima vs. 189.2" for the GS
Height: 57.1 vs. 55.9"
Rear Legroom: 36.2" vs. 34.3"
Front Headroom: 40.5" vs. 37.6"
Rear Headroom: 37.4" vs. 36.4"
Front Hiproom: 55.3" vs. 55"
Passenger Volume: 102.5cu.ft vs. 100cu.ft.
