I know, its stupid, but I hate the way those things just spray two streams of liquid. I like the ones that spray a mist all over the window. Can you purchase those types of sprayers?

And through your rear view mirror, you can watch the guy behind you on the highway shaking his fist at the partial car wash you're giving him.

I agree. My bf's 00 Taurus has the best setup that I've seen yet. It has the misters on the hood, but it's more splayed out and gets much more of the windshield (as opposed to using gallons of spraywash to get the two small streams smeared all over the windshield). More efficient, and seems to clean better. And parts off a Taurus are cheap (any junkyard would probably have tons) so there's gotta be a way to adapt that. I would take the horn too, much better sounding!!

Hmmm...I wonder how standard the parts are. I guess the biggest problem would be that they wouldn't sit on the hood right.

I test drove a 2002 and the sprayer was the mist type, then I got a 2003 and I got the stream type, maybe it's as simple as turning the sprayer jets side ways, there's probably a little tool that does this, I'll check my manual.

Anyone else mess around with the sprayers?

Maybe the sprayers are different on the two cars. That would be way too easy...

You can adjust most streamers by inserting a sewing needle to set the aim (jets usually pivot).
Most misters would be no good with high speed org drivers IMHO

ok, guess i'll add my few cents. been too lazy....
when they sell those windshield washer lights (the ghey ones), they dont' sell them by model and make of car. they sell them as universal parts (saw a pair on a porsche, how sad). this leads me to believe that most, if not ALL cars use a standard type of windshield washer, i mean by plugging it in. if this is the case, you can simply just buy them from a car that has the spray feature and swap nozzles. i've had this idea for awhile now, but i'm just TOOOOOOOO lazy to do it. i do know for sure that jetta's give a very nice full spray. i say take your nozzle off, go to a VW parts department, ask for the 2k (i was driving a 2k jetta when i noticed this) nozzle, and with parts in front of you, see if they look the same...if so, DING DING DING.

That would be soo great to just switch them like that. Now, the only thing is to get 'em to go a bit faster....doesn't seem like the highest speed is quite fast enough......anyone else think so?

well like i said if they can sell those nozzle lights for any car, then that leans me towards the idea that those things are very much universal. i live a block down from a VW parts department. looks like i'll be takin the trip tomorow morning. i'll let you guys know.
