I spend all day FREEZING my *** off with a wire tester tryin to find out the problem...
the ballasts are fine.
the bulbs are good.

the part thats not working is this little black box inside the headlight...
looks almost like a relay i guess. i duno.
its a tiny black box that has a female connector on it which connects to the bulb itself...

if ne one has ne idea what im talking about please help!
I need to fix this or replace it.

Be careful with your wire tester. The HIDs use high voltage in their operation. According to the Nissan FSM, if one of the headlights does not work.
20A fuse
Headlamp LH/RH relay
Headlamp LH/RH relay circuit
Lighting circuit switch
Smart entrance control unit
Fuse 54 in the fuse and fusible link box is for the LH light and fuse 55 is for the right one.
Hope this helps you.

^^^ yea its def still covered.. the car only has 26k on it... we've had the headlights replaced TWICE due to theives ... so this is the 3rd time dealing with the headache of these things.

the last resort tho is bringin the car to the dealership. My pops doesnt want the car sitting there for days cause he needs it for work. but if all else fails i guess its gonna have to go in.

heres the deal... i took out both headlamp housings... switch everything.. TESTED everything and its def the little black box on the driverside thats causing the problem.
I removed it from inside the light WHICH WAS A PAIN!
and it smells like a car stereo amp does when you blow one... it smells burnt. so im guess the box fried....

ive also been searching online at OEM parts sites tryin to find a diagram of the headlamp housing so i can point out the part and identify it... no luck there so far..

im gonna head down to nissan tonorrow (20 minute drive) and see what the parts dept says.
I hope i can just order a new one and that this part isnt one of those parts that you must order the whole housing for

ya know these hid's are more problems then they're worth ... first the theft and now this crap... im really at a loss at this point... more like a lack of modivation. ne help that can be offered would be great. thanks guys..
