Problem With psg side window.

my psgr side window is acting funny lately. when you put the window down, it wont go back up if the Psngr tries to make it go up. but when i do it from the driver side controls it goes up. is the switch on the passenger side broken?? i dont think it is because it goes down just not up.

i know this sounds confusing but if anyone knows what this might be, any info would be great

thanx

There are likely separate contacts to sense the up and down motion of the power window button. It sounds like your "up" contact is either going bad or somehow loose.

I'd open up the door panel and give it a look. You shouldn't have to remove the whole panel. Instuctions: http://carstereohelp.com/stereoremovalNisMax3FSpk.htm

If the switch is bad, i'd hunt down a replacement from a junk yard. Cheap.

I have a problem with one of my rear passenger doors too. Except its the lock instead of the window. The power door locks dont work at all on one of the rear passenger doors. Could there be a blown fuse? All the other door locks work except for this one door. Anyone have the same problem?

Mine did this too and it wasn't a switch but a dying regulator. Chris
