How do you install a powertech muffler?
#6
I get my PT1011 tomorrow and will be taking it to a shop within the next week. I'm going to make sure they install it at a point where it's easy to switch back to the factory unit if I dont like the droning. Some people have hated these PT1011 on the autos, and some like them. I'm hoping I'm the latter.

i posted before but the org went down for a few minutes so it didnt go through...
Just have the exhaust shop take off your stock rear section, have then make a new pipe identical to your stock rear section (maybe a bigger sized pipe too if you want) and then have them weld a flange at the end, and weld the muffler on.
This way you can unbolt your new powertech rear section, and bolt on your stock rear section if you ever wanted to go back to stock.

My original plan exactly! Though, if I don't like this muffler I probably won't even bother to try another, so I won't really need to convenience of a flange. I really liked the sound of the clip that had the factory muffler with some different piping, so that'd be my next attempt.
