Any experiences w/ Otto Racing FSTB?

I was looking for a FSTB and found a relatively inexpensive one made by Otto Racing. Anyone have one on an '02 or '03? Good, bad?

Most people have had good luck with them. You really don't need to go and spend all the money on the Stillen one. I think that one is the best value. There are some on Ebay for cheaper but I would go with that one. Order it from custommaxima or southwest autoworks.

I'm sure it will work fine, I had one that I got for 15 bucks and it worked great with a noticeable handling difference at speed. Some companies such as Honda use a piece of thin wall pipe stock. Chris

OTTO is great. Except for the fitment, which required the use of washers so that the bar could raise above the intake manifold when you go in reverse. Mine still scrapes if I accelerate quickly in reverse.

Mine fits pretty good. It scraped the first few times I went into reverse, but now there is no problem. I did not use any washers.
Plus, it looks really good under the hood.

When was the last time you checked it? You may have two FSTB's now.

I have one too on my 2001 AE. I didn;t have to use any washers/spacers to install it. Was simple and easy, 14mm screws to tighten at the ends (35lbs) and no other mods required. Made my car feel alot tighter, and handling in the snow and wet is much better, as is cornering. Snow tires help out too.

It looks nice with the JWT pop-charger and frankencar mid-pipe too! Stillen is way too overprices, and this one looks almost identical to theirs, just its polished!

The otto bar is adjustable just like the Stillen, but looks better and has a better price tag.

I pop the hood everyday just to look at it

What happened is, the intake manifold made a small grove (about 2mm deep) on the bottom part of the bar.
The problem could have been avoided by raising the bar all the way, but then the driver's side of the bar was going quite far into the hood insulation which could have affected windshield spray.
