UDP Belts

I have a Unorthodox Racing UnderDrive pulley. Which belts are needed for install on 2000 Max? Also which belt is on the outside pulley. Which belt pushes the Alt. and which one pushes the power steering pump? Where can I purchase them Autozone, Pepboys, is the quality the same?

your best bet for part number unless someone has them lying around is to get them from unorthodox's site. they will give you part numbers to gate belts which are quality belts. i would personally stay away from the ones that advance stocks, ive had problems with noise with them on my pulley. the gates number will cross reference to any that your local auto shop will either carry or can order. i was able to reuse my stock belt for the power steering side as have others. i would purchase it just in case so if the stock works then you can return it or if it doesnt then have one handy.

Which is the power steering belt? Is it the one that's the outer groove which does to the right or is it the inner groove and the belt that goes to the left if you're looking from the passenger tire. Also do I need a kit from Nissan or do I just have to put a little oil on it when I put the new one on?

should be the inner one, to the left (outer to the right is the alt). i have an 03 3.5L, but i highly doubt the models have changed aside from displacement. just use a little oil or anti-seize on the new one.

Thanks for the reply. So I can use a factory belt for the power steering? I've heard that the power steering belt is the same. Don't know how since the pulley itself is smaller.

I bought the two recommended belts... dont remember what they are anymore, and I guess studman's website is down, cause he had them listed on there. But the ones that are recommended to buy fit perfectly with no squeeking or anything.

you may want to replace the belt if it looks worn or has a good amount of miles on it. no pulleys on the power steering side are chaning in size, thats how you can reuse the stock belt. the only pulley that is changing size is the crank pulley which the power steering does not run off of.

Well I purchased a UDP from an .Org member along with a belt that fits the outer pulley. I believe this is the Alt./ AC belt. He had an '02 Maxima. This belt should fit my '00 correct? If so then all I'll have to purchase is the power steering belt from Nissan.
