man what a difference. i had the k&n drop in already and didnt really notice much of a change so after reading some of the post on the oscai and saw how easy and inexpensive it was i decided to try and am i ever glad i did. it was very easy to install and only cost me like $25 in parts. i went with the shop vac hose and the 3 to 2 coupler, i cut a hole in the black plastic guard on the bottom and ran the hose out of there and up to the lower part of the front air dam. i then cut two slits in the guard (one on each side of the hose) and zip tied the hose up snug to the guard so it would stay still and not curve down, i used a dremmel to do the cutting. you cant even see it without getting on your knees and looking under the car. i would reccommend this to anyone looking to start modding there max. thanks for all the info thats given on this site.

Yup. The OSCAI should definitely win Maxima.org's 5th Gen Mod of the Year Award. Nothing even comes close in terms of a bang-for-the-buck performance increase. And it's not necessary to go as far as you did to gain the benefits. You can just leave a curve in the hose and rest the end of the hose inside the bumper skirt by the bottom of the air silencer. It won't go anywhere and there's less chance of sucking up foreign material that way.

i just did that addition to the oscai this weekend... i cut the splash guard on the bottom and put it up under the radiator so its right where the front air dam is... i used 3" tubing and its aluminum so u see it... kinda looks a little ugly but i will paint it this weekend... and i am getting the stillen body kit so it will cover the tubing a little... i put mesh over the front whole of it that you use on your windows... i attached it to the end with 2 zip ties and just pulled it tight... its still there... i love the mod and it should def get the 5th gen mod of the year!! i will take pics this weekend when i will take it apart to paint so u guys can see... i cant wait to get the stillen kit... i just got to put some more $$ together.. hehe... i dunno if i should get the y-pipe, fstb, rsb or get the stillen kit first... eventually i will have all but im saying which group to get first... the performance or the looks... considering i got that pipe coming down in front now... well guys gimme some feedback...
