The Legends are true....RSB

I successfully installed my Progress RSB!! I guess it IS true that this minor mod does make a big difference.

You read a lot of things on the internet and sometimes you have to question if it is a good idea or a bad idea…I took the gamble and grabbed this bar from one of the group deals and I must say, it is really effective. Even my wife notices the difference!

Now I have a question for the people using the RSB now. Does the car feel like it is ‘back heavy’ now (meaning the steering feels lighter)?? Or is it all in my head? Are the two ends of the bar exactly ¾ inch from the bushing? Mines seem a little uneven even though there is no room for adjustment.

PROGRESS is great.

Question: After installing, did you guys go back and tighten all the bolts the next day? I read somewhere that it is a good idea to do that.

I had mine (Stillen) installed by my mechanic, went out and put ~100 miles on the car and took it back that same day for a check/re-torque. Went in for an oil-change recently (same shop) and had them inspect it again (probably overkill) since I was there and up on a rack anyway. All was/is well.

I moved my bushings towards the rear of the car, behind the parking brake bracket. It was a ***** to get on tight, but it's a little bit more flat now as well.

I torqued mine and used locktite. It fell off 500 miles later going down 435. It got rashed and is now rusting, but still works. This time I used red locktite and locknuts - shouldn't come off again.

You put the bushing behind the bracket..hmmm Was there any negative effect on the car or the RSB?

I though of piercing a little whole in the U bolts and use a cutter pin to lock after the bolts, this way you ensure it wont get loose.

No, it actually tightened up the rear-end even more.

No, I've done the same thing - works great and no problems. The Progress bar is adjustable in this way, so theoretically I should be getting more effect.

So it fell off on 435 and you were able to drag your banged up bar off the road before some semi made a speed bump out of it? Wow. I'm local so I know you must be a fast mover! Sounds like I'll be using some locknuts when mine shows up.
