Cold Air Intake off eBay

Thinking of buying a CIA off eBay for my 03 SE. (this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2461906254).

It says 'No Instructions'.

Anyone ever use/buy one of these?

Difficult to install?

And then, have then dyno'd their Maxima afterwards?

Wow...cheap...but I wouldn't get it now and let someone else get it first and give a review.

I installed one without instructions. I'm positive you could too.

I had one of those on my car and wasn't very happy with it. At about 5000 rpm it sounds like a four cylinder honda. There was no power gain. I put my stock intake back in and the car felt like it had better pickup.

I thought that the piping would be the same or almost the same as the injen... so yeah just plug another kind of filter on top of it like the apexi or K&N as mentioned above. Maybe you could even hook up an aem bypass to help reduce any water coming through.

I had installed that intake on my brothers 00 se. Just like the Injen intake, doesn't come with a breather hose. He ended up taking it back off, the car was real sluggish off the line with the intake. It might work better on your 02. but you cant beat the price. I would just change the air cleaner. The one that comes with it is kinda cheap and is hard to slide onto end of pipe.
