HyperGrounding points.

How many hyper ground points are there? I'm going to make my own HyperGround kit and am getting 20 ft of wire. Does that sound like it's enough wire? Search isn't working.

20 feet sounds more than enough. I think there are about 5 grounding points - no more than 6.

hyper ground is an invented term referring to the reinforcement of ground points in a vehicle. Basically, instead of just connecting things to ground points and assuming it's perfectly grounded, you add cables between the ground points to ensure the ground points can conduct between each other in an optimal manner, rather than assuming that the engine block/chassis/etc. conducts well enough. For best results, this hyperground "network" should connect to the alternator ground AND battery ground, since they are both power sources. Ultimately, for any power-drawing device, the circuit will require proper conduction from the device's ground to the power source's ground, so including the power sources in the hyperground network is the ideal design.

so the cableing is ran from ground point to ground point.

I thought it meant running cables from each ground point to a main area, like a ground bar or something.

Thanks for the info, help me understand what everyone is talking about.

It could be that too. Either way, it's the same effect.

Also, when I put the ring terminals on the ends should I crimp them on or solder them on?

soldering is always better, but since you'll probably be using 4 gauge wire or something, crimping might be a more realistic alternative.

I noticed that you listed the grounding kits for the 5th gen for sale. Does the kit works on 5.5 gen Max? If so, do you provide instruction for the installation w/the purchase? I am seriously considering this electrical enhancement.
