Just got the ECU in...

Well the throttle response feels much better but the butt dyno doesn't work. Hopefully I will be able to get on the dyno tomorrow. All I have to say is TS is getting a call from me to see where my rev limiter is. I pegged the tach to 7800-7900 and still no limiter. Hopefully I didn't damage anything and I hope the car puts down good numbers tomorrow. I will keep you guys posted.

Sounds like you better be careful there! You're car is becoming a beast.

That doesn't sound too good. Are there any real tests to see if you damaged anything besides taking the engine apart? I would be pretty angry with TS right now if I were you. I'm looking forward to the dyno. You're shooting for 240 whp, right? Best of luck.

i have to say it was quite scary to see the tach get that high. it looked pretty good but i doubt the motor appreciated it too much.

Never heard anyone say they wanted a rev limiter.

Of course I know why you want it.

Hell yeah, 8Krpm limiter here I come@@@!

The tach is probably just off. Mine shows 6800+, when I've verified actual is only 64XXrpm. It's going to get even less accurate the farther you go.

Time for a shift light.

Stop telling us about all them durn mods you are getting. With one of them factory freaks like you have its going to be faster than all the rest anyway.

Be interesting to see how the pull goes, good luck.

Well I hope its all in my head or Im expecting too much but my car feels really slow right now. Guess only the dyno and track will tell, b/c I hate judging my cars performance driving it around aka butt dyno.

Agreed, but dyno dollars don't come easy. The last time I went for 3 runs with a/f it cost me a c-note.

If you're talking about during normal everyday driving, that's not TS code. They can't touch closed-loop operation. Your ECU is just relearning after being disconnected for so long.

If your talking WOT, then.....

I got the same feeling after I got my TS ECU done. It sure didnt feel like the 12whp they are advertising. Give it a couple of days. For some reason I didnt feel anything for about a week then I started noticing it. I am going to be getting a dyno as well (4/4 or the weekend after. 3runs [$65] +a/f [$10] = $75 or with 5 or more people $10 off). It is being delayed because I am trying to get the 5+ people deal other wise I would have had it 2 weeks ago.

Just another note, I got my crank position sensor recall work done and now it feels slower. Dealer told me the CPS was cross threaded and the ground was broken off. They said they had no idea why it was not throwing an SES light. They sounded almost accusing when they asked me if anyone had done some aftermarket transmission work on the car. Which brings me to another point... I have clutch chatter but apparently it didnt do it for the dealer.

Anyway I am looking forward to seeing the dyno results as it will give me something to compare to. What power mods do you have on your car?

well I finally got the ECU to reset itself and the car feels really strong now. My dyno appointment is set for 3:30 and my cars transmission is shifting like a$$ at WOT. I did get the tranny replaced and I know it was done b/c there is no more revving in between gears nor lagging shifts at normal rpms. At WOT its still really lazy and I actually barked 2nd gear from it lagging and then catching in 2nd gear. I have never barked 2nd gear all motor and I know its not a good thing. Im thinking maybe they didnt replace the VB and thats the cause? Any help would be appreciated.

its nothing major that can't be fixed. Dynoing won't hurt anything b/c Im not WOT through a gear change. Trust me I've driven around for a few weeks with a busted tranny and there are no signs of the transmission being faulty just doesn't seem to act right on WOT shifts.

I know on the 2Ks there was a shift solenoid or something TSB that described something like that.

Check Kevs' Cardomain page for info IIRC.

not sure how u managed that matt, but my tranny slipped for a week before it just died altogether in the midst of pulling into a spot....
