I'm not really feeling those headlights.

MB I would buy them and put the plastic peices in from my stock lights and mb paint it a diff. color...

I dunno, gotta experiment. I'm also not really feelin the cheesy angel eyes

I'm getting them since my pass AE light started to condensate a bit after 80K miles. I will be putting my D2R HIDs in the projectors and will give it the AE black housing look before install- I hate chrome on exterior of black cars like our 5th gens. I'll have pics soon.

I think I might buy a set to experiment with. Things always look different in person and I think they should look nice. I'm sure its not hard to put hids in there.

Here is my opinion for those who care....first the only reason I would use these over the 2k2+ headlights is because of the projectors. But the chances of projectors being HID quality are zero. There for I would have to replace the projectors which is a good idea because I could take the JUNK angel eyes out at the same time. For those you buy them here is what you dont want to do: Put D2R/D2S bulbs in the Halogen projectors. Its going to look like crap and kill on coming traffic. BUT with any luck the projectors will be HID based not Halogen.

Thank you.
That is why I personally will be holding off until I decide to get a set of Valeo projectors retro-fitted into my headlights but either illusion lighting or hidtech. It will definetly cost more, but I can 100% sure it will look sick.
As far as these go, well considering its a whole housing for 250ish, I also think quality is going to suffer. I hope I can be proven wrong (probably wont be ) but that has yet to be seen. When ever the guys here get them installed, im sure they will take pics and either they or myself will link it to this thread so we shall see...

How does this unit take a H4 bulb (DUAL FILIMENT) and it still has a high beam.

THATS BS. I think this unit accepts d2r/s bulb.

h4 is for low/high beam on a 2k-2k1 maxima.

D2r - is a low beam HID capsul

D2s- low beam HID projector capsul

For other people who have purchased these, how long did it take to get them? And did you receive any confirmation email or anything after ordering? Who did you deal with?

I think they are a sweet looking lighting option for us 2k 2k1 guys. Not too keen on the cheezy halos though. If those were better Id ****** 'em up! I hope they come out with a revision that is a little higher quality.

I always wanted the 2k2 Headlamp but 1100$ is tortuous, I think they look sweet for the price, nice option for us 2k-2k1 anyway, I e-mail the guy and basically wait his reply to send him the 288$ for a set.

i emailed the seller on ebay to see if their supplier carried them in a black housing... they said nope .

those things would be sweet in a black housing. sure you can buy em, crack em open & paint, but i hate the idea of spending $200+ on something then having to go through all that just to make them into something you like. i dunno maybe im just lazy

The parking and turn signal lights look a bit cheap. Should've made it like the stock ones except clear. Doesn't look to good head on.

Are you going to put a D2S bulb and projector for your HID kit or go back to halogen?

Hey,

I was wondering if you received and install those lights yet and your impressions of them so far? I was thinking about them but wanted to check with you first. What do you think? Do you have any pictures to share? If so, could you send them or post them.

thanks

Chris

I thinks those are nice..but i will wait until somebody post directions of the wiring modifications needed to install on the 00-01 MAXs...I have purchased projector lights for my other cars, from one of those sellers and never had a problem, they were all actually good quality lights. I bought 3 sets 1 for my eclipse 1 for the accord 2dr and 1 for my accord wagon..all worked excellent..

who ever installs them on the MAXIMA first needs to share the info...werd!!!

Received an email from the seller today.

Said my lights were shipping out today, so I should receive them (if everything goes as planned) later on this week. Plan on putting them on this weekend.

Will take pics and let everyone knows how it goes. Dont know how much I like being one of the first, but oh well. Maybe it will turn out great.

[dumb questions]

Are these actual HID headlights or are they just the shells? Would you need to gut your OEM HIDs to make these work? I'm trying to make some sense in my head of how these could possibly be this cheap for a set of 2...knowing how much OEM HIDs and Umnitza DDEs cost.

[/dumb questions]

I think we are looking at these lights like they are porr quality because we got used to see the Nissan prices on headlights..if you see the other models of projector lights on ebay they sell for less...dont get me wrong if a had the 2k2 or 2k3 lights i wouldnt change them i think they look better...the good thing about these projector lights are the halo rings..

just my opinion fellas!

The 2k2 -2k3 Maxima Headlight are good quality + HID that's why they sell it for 1100$, but for us poor 2k-2k1 maxima owner our car didn't come with HID so these headlight look way much better than our stock headlight, still no HID but retrofitting some HID sound like a decent compromise, anyway I'm buying a kit and I will see how the HID conversion is possible. Anyone want to share though...

Cheers
