How can a mouse get in and out of my glovebox?

Has anyone had rodents getting in and out of your glovebox ? Is there an opening under the car that would allow them to enter the glovebox and then to get back out ? I have a 2003 SE and just went to get something out of my glovebox and I had an envelope with my registration and some other papers chewed thru and there was alot of shredded paper on the bottom of the glovebox ?
What do you think ?

The car has only been in my driveway locked up and with me at work which I can look at the window and see the car. It had to have come in from under the car somehow , I just noticed it as it was getting dark, I guess I will take to the dealer on Monday and add that to the list of things that need to be fixed.

1- Mouse in my glovebox..(Im sure this will make there day :-)
2- Wind noise TSB
3- Crankshaft sensors
4- Lack of power TSB

This is my third Maxima
95 GXE
98 SE
and I feel like this one is the cheapest built of the three. I love the power of the 3.5 but the interior quality is very questionable.

well my friend who owned a camry lost it due to a fire cause by rats n such chewing at the wires. it happened over the winter. it seems that when she would get home at night and park, they would come and get into her engine bay where it was warm and toasty and have the late nite snack as well. maybe they got in from there?

Those little guys can get into almost anything. All they need is the smallest opening. I dont think nissan will help u with your rodant problem. maybe put a mouse trap in your golvebox

They can climb in through your air inlet vents (where the heater/defroster sucks in outside air from) and climb through the ducting, into your evaporator core/blower motor. From there, it's a hop skip and crawl to the glovebox. We just (about 3 weeks ago) had a customer with a noisy blower motor, pulled evap core, there was a dead mouse stuck in the scroll cage of the fan motor!

Mice and such are sneaky little suckers, they can get in despite car covers, etc.

I will check out the vents and see what I can see !
Nissan better check to make sure I dont have an opening that a mouse can get into my car from the outside. If I leave my doors or windows open etc then that will be my own fault, but this is down right crazy. If there is nothing they can do I wont have this Maxima for long and I will never touch one again.
