On the drive home I suddenly noticed my clutch was making a creaking noise when pressed down about halfway. It also doesn't feel quite as smooth as it should. Any ideas guys?

Nah, the creaky sound definately isn't normal wear. Other ideas anyone?

 

I'm 99% sure that has to be in the linkages for the pedal itself. Maybe the return spring is rubbing somwhere. Look up under the dash at the clutch linkage, move the pedal as much as you can while you look up under there, I'm sure the source of the creak will jump out at ya, then lube it up! If the spring is the source, try turning the spring with pliers (or channel locks if you have one) until it goes away.

I doubt the creak could be coming from anywhere else. Once the clutch pushrod goes through the firewall, it's all hydrolic from there.

 

I could've sworn the sound was coming from under the hood. I popped the hood and pressed the clutch in hopes of hunting it down. But yeah, I'll check the pedal itself.

Strangely, this morning everything was back to normal. I only heard the creaks last night as pulling into the garage so perhaps it was a freak incident.
