Finaaaaally Got My Max Back!! **pics**

a couple weeks ago, i was in a nasty accident w/ a curb and sign. some f*cker ran a light causing me to swerve around him, jump a curb, & slam into a sign. the damages totalled up right around $5500.

the guys that fixed my car did a damn good job considering the damages done. here's a list of some of the major damages...
-bumper+grille
-headlamp
-upper tie bar
-radiator
-hood
-fender
-tranny pan
-left control arm
-axle
-front left wheel

a week before the accident, i just installed my illuminas and tein s-techs. im lucky that no damage was done to my suspension mods.

Looks great, you cant get a 2000 GLE totalled with just 5,500 in damages. No insurance company would total that car based on the way it looked either.

thanks guys. as much damage as it was, i dont think i could split with my max... im glad it wasn't totalled.

the repair shop did an awesome job. im impressed w/ the paint work. they say that pearl is almost impossible to match but this shop pulled it off. i can't tell the difference between the new panels & the old ones. my only complaint about the body work is that the front bumper is not perfectly lined up. it's slightly off where it meets the left fender. you can also see (in the front pic) that there is a wider gap where the hood meets the bumper on the driver side. im not to fussy over that tho.

as far as the ride, there is slightly a little more engine vibration at lower rpms. i gotta go back to the shop & have them look @ my engine mounts.

all in all, im more than pleased with the outcome of this. im hyped that i got my max back & can't wait to start modding again.... anyone know where i can get a cattman y-pipe @ reasonable cost??

How come they replace the tranny pan, it's a bit weird to have some damage from the front.

they did nice work, but dont settle for mis-aligned parts. Take it back till you are satisfied. Make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb, if you dont you will kick yourself later... just my $.02
